What If I Meditation Is Hard For Me?
Have you struggled with meditation in the past because you can't turn your thoughts off? That's a common issue that many have, however the good thing about immersive guided meditation is that it works with your thoughts so they aren't distracting you and blocking the benefits of meditation. You'll learn how to use your thoughts to help settle your nervous system so you can take a deeper dive within. Once you're able to effectively meditate and feel the shift, you'll realize it's a tool that can be used anywhere and anytime to help settle your mind and body.
How Is Journaling Used with Meditation?
Since these guided meditations are based on inquiry and contemplation, journaling helps integrate and maximize the benefits of this sacred time of introspection. That's why it's included in the Journey Within series. It helps to process and integrate the insights you've gained into your everyday life.
What Do You Need for the Journey Within?
- A comfortable place to meditate free from interruptions
- Computer access to Zoom
- Journal and pen
- Headphones (optional)
How Much Time is Required?
- Each weekly session is 50 minutes
- 5 or 10 minutes of journaling time each day
- 6 weeks to complete the series
What Does A Deep Dive Through Guided Meditation Do?
- It engages our calming nervous system so we can integrate subconscious thoughts to form deeper insights
- Enables us to form positive feedback loops to replace negative ones and re-wire our brain through plasticity
- Increases our mental processing power to improve perceptiveness, problem solving and decision making
- Enables our neurochemistry to enter into a flow state which helps us to tap into our inner wisdom more easily

The Journey Within is led by Tressie Seegers, MA, LPC, AT-R. Tressie is a licensed professional therapist, registered art therapist, is EMDR trained, and has completed formal training in immersive guided meditation at The Guided Meditation Framework. The Journey Within is not therapy. It is a series used to help individuals take a deeper dive into their own inner wisdom for guidance and clarity.
